Spicey soup for the soul

At the core of Ayurveda is the aim to balance our digestive fire and eliminating toxins from the body.  In order to kick-start our digestion we use spices to warm and stimulate the gut. Like warming the oven before outing food into it! And this ‘spicy soup’ does just that.

Cumin, Tamarind, garlic, tamarind and curry leaves create a downright irresistibly flavorsome broth just bursting with nutrition. Like a big, cozy jumper, this soothing soup will help get you through the long winters.

INGREDIENTS:
1 tsp coriander seeds
1 tsp cumin seeds
1 tsp tamarind paste
8-10 curry leaves
2-3 garlic cloves
6-8 slices fresh ginger

DIRECTIONS

  1. Grind all spices into a paste
  2. Add 500mls of water and boil for 20mins
  3. Add salt to taste

You can have this on its own as a soup before
